  • Puff pastry1 sheet
  • Apples, grated2
  • Unsalted butter, softened50 g
  • Brown sugar60 g
  • Cinnamon3 tsp
  • Egg1

Method ⏲️

Golden pastry pockets filled with warm apple and cinnamon goodness.

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

Take out your sheet of puff pastry and allow it to soften. Preheat your oven to 180°C and line your tray with baking paper. Peel and grate 2 apples and set aside. In a small bowl, add your grated apples along with 50 g of softened butter, 30 g brown sugar, and 2 tsp cinnamon. Mix together well.

Step 2: Roll It Up

Place your puff pastry sheet onto the baking tray. Spread your apple mixture evenly over the pastry. Carefully roll up your pastry to form a cylinder. Press down the cylinder to flatten.

Step 3: Make Your Egg Wash

Crack 1 egg into a small bowl, whisk to create your egg wash. Spread evenly over your pastry. Cut your pastry into small triangles, then gently press the edges of each triangle to help seal in the filling. Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Step 4: Make Your Cinnamon Sugar

While your triangles are baking, it’s time to make your cinnamon sugar. In a small bowl, mix 30 g brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Once your triangles are golden, crispy, and cooled down, place each one in your cinnamon sugar and generously coat. Once all have been coated, they’re ready to be devoured!
