- Caster sugar100 g
- Baking powder2 tsp
- Salt½ tsp
- Milk240 ml
- Vegetable oil80 ml
- Ground cinnamon1 tsp
- Apples, thinly sliced2
- For the swirl:
- Butter, melted60 g
- Brown sugar100 g
- Cinnamon1 tsp

Step 1: Prep & Preheat
Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a 23 x 33cm pan with baking paper. In a bowl, whisk 250 g flour, 100 g caster sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk 240 ml milk and 80 ml vegetable oil; combine with dry ingredients until just mixed. Cut your apples into thin slices.
Step 2: Add Your Swirl
Spread half the batter in the pan. Layer with half the apple slices. In a separate bowl, stir together 60 g melted butter, 100 g brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon for the swirl; drizzle half over the apples, then add the remaining batter and apples. Drizzle the rest of the swirl mix and cinnamon on top.
Step 3: Bake Your Cake
Bake 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly before slicing and devouring.
