Method ⏲️
Easy, festive and 100% show-stopping. Spread, layer, twist, and bake your way to a cheesy, herby Christmas tree that’s as fun to make as it is to eat.
Step 1: Prep Your Canvas
Preheat your oven to 180 °C and line a baking tray with 1 tbsp butter. Place one sheet of puff pastry directly onto the tray.
Step 2: Layer on the Goodness
Spread 190 g basil pesto over your pastry and layer with 200 g shredded mozzarella. Then top with the second sheet of pastry.
Step 3: Slice & Twist
Take a knife and slice the sheet into a large triangle, then slice ‘branches’ into the sides. Then twist these branches to create a fun swirl. For an extra festive touch, use the offcuts to create a star shape to top the tree with.
Step 4: Bake to Perfection
Bake at 180 °C for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
Step 5: Deck It Out and Serve
Finish with basil leaves and cherry tomatoes if you desire.
