  • Plain flour2 cups
  • Baking soda¼ tsp
  • Brown sugar1 cup
  • Eggs1
  • Unsalted butter225 g
  • Vanilla extract1 tsp
  • Chocolate chips250 g

Method ⏲️

A giant gooey cookie baked in one dish.

Step 1: Make Your Dough

Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a dish. A round dish is going to work best. In a bowl, beat 225 g unsalted butter for 2 minutes until creamy. Add 1 cup brown sugar and beat again until well combined. Add in 1 egg along with 1 tsp vanilla extract. Beat again.

Step 2: Add Your Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, add 2 cups plain flour, ¼ tsp baking soda and mix to combine. Gradually add your dry ingredients to your wet mixture. Add your chocolate chips. Be sure not to over mix your dough.

Step 3: Make Your Balls

Scoop about 6 large dough balls and place them into your baking dish, spacing them slightly apart so they are close but not touching. Flatten them all slightly.

Step 4: Time to Bake

Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is crispy and golden. The center should be chewy and soft. Let cool before serving.
